This year we’re participating in the Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day, Saturday, September 21, 10:00-4:00.

Participants in the Museum Day can download tickets from the Smithsonian Magazine website starting August 15 that are good for a free Home & Garden tour (2 adults per ticket.) This is our regular, Docent-led tour that takes 45 minutes and includes part of the Gardens, the Home & the Greenhouse.

And because we all had so much fun with the scavenger hunt during the Big Potato Day event, we’re creating a new one. How do you feel about bugs? Prizes for the kids who complete the hunt.

We’ll have activities for the younger kids, and who knows what else may materialize between now and then?
